DVD player... board games... stuffed toys... spa bath... gas BBQ in our child-safe backyard. Mum will also appreciate the big rumpus/ play area for the kids downstairs (near the fully equipped laundry).

Gerringong and the surrounding area offers whale watching, golf, tennis, a leisure centre, scenic walks, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and seafood markets. There are several big game fishing clubs nearby.

Drive 11 kilometers north and you're in historic Kiama -- famous for it spectacular Blowhole and other scenic delights

This lovable little resort town overlooks white, sandy beaches that attract both surfers and anglers.

A few kilometres south is Gerroa where Seven Mile Beach has been voted the 6th best windsurfing location in the world.

The Kingsford-Smith Memorial at Seven Mile Beach overlooks the beach where pioneer aviator Charles Kingsford-Smith took off for his 1933 flight to New Zealand in the Southern Cross.

Crooked River Winery, Gerringong offers daily wine tasting.

Gerringong's history has been preserved in old buildings and churches. For example, Willow Bank homestead in Bridges Road, built in 1862, has been lovingly restored and maintained by the present owners.

Although it's a small town, Gerringong has a proud sporting tradition. The local football oval is named after its most famous rugby league sons, Rod Wishart and Mick Cronin.

Other nearby attractions include: Craft markets at Black Beach (every 3rd Sunday of the month), Berry (a delightful town with a personality all its own), Jamberoo's Outback Beach (an aquatic recreation park with numerous rides), and Minnamurra Rain Forest where the elevated board walk is now open.

Restaurants and cafes in Gerringong and nearby

Gerringong is about 2 hours south of Sydney.

After you pass the Kiama exit on the Pacific Highway, look for the Gerringong exit to your left and take it. You'll cross the railway line and soon see the township of Gerringong.

As you climb the hill, you encounter several roundabouts. Keep going to the top of the hill. On your left is a Ray White Real Estate office.

Turn left around the Ray White office into Noble St, which is a very short street. At the end of Noble St, turn left (downhill) into Myamba St and the first house on the right is #6. You've arrived at your South Coast holiday accommodation. Welcome!!
